VS 9: Encoding in DivX format using Video Studio

DivX is an advanced MPEG-4 media format. The DivX codec can compress an MPEG-2/DVD file to nearly one-tenth its original size while retaining its original quality. The steps to encode your video project into DivX format using Video Studio 9.0 are as follows:

Step-1
You need DivX codec to share your movie in the DivX format. The DivX codec can be found on the DivX site by clicking on the following link:
http://www.divx.com/divx/create/download/index.php
Download and install the DivX create bundle; (DivX codec in included in the bundle)

Step-2
After the installation, open Ulead Video Studio 9 and prepare the movie to export.

Step-3
From the file menu select the project properties

Step-4 Select the microsoft AVI files in the dialog box edit file format

Click the edit button

Step-6
Click General tab, and on this page, set the frame rate and size of the project to be exported

Select the compression to DivX Pro X.X codec (latest version is 6.1).

Click to configure the DivX encoder

Step-10
To open the advance options click the advance Tab

Enable Interleave audio and video and select : pack audio data for every 1 frame then click OK

A pop up screen in the Video Studio 9 will alert you that the project settings have changed. Click OK

At the share menu select create Video File then select save as Project Settings

Enter a file name and set save as type to Microsoft AVI files (*.avi) then click save to begin encoding you video in the DivX format.
