Chop required onions (enough to cover bottom of frying pan generously). Fry in butter and sprinkle onions with vinegar ( vinegar softens onions and gives them a sweeter taste without burning, cooks better). Add sprinkle of flour to thicken and then add stock to consistency. Nice with pork chipolata sausages.
