Import/export search providers

The list of search providers are stored in the registry. To export the search providers list, use these steps:

Click Start, Run and type regedit.exe
Navigate to the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Internet Explorer \\ SearchScopes

From the File menu, click Export and export the branch to a .REG file
Exit the Registry Editor.
Alternately, you can use the following command to export the above branch:

REG EXPORT \"HKCU\\Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\SearchScopes\" C:\\SearchProviders.reg

The file SearchProviders.reg is now created on the C:\\ drive. (Change the destination path if you want.) To apply the settings to another system, transfer this REG file to that system, and double-click the file to merge the contents to the registry.
