Our family group consisted of 3 adults and three teenagers. We spent a
week at the Villa between 2 - 9 August 2010. This period was one of the
hottest on record for Cyprus and so the heat provided its own
challenges. Happily the Villa was perfectly equipped to deal with such
extreme temperatures, there was air conditioning units in each bedroom
and the lounge. A private swimming pool was the centre piece with a
large patio area, outside shower and a gas fired barbecue.
A table
with a large parasol and 4 chairs, 6 sun loungers. The teenagers loved
it so much that they preferred to remain at the Villa whilst my wife and
I went out exploring the various places of interest in Cyprus of which
there are many.
The Villa includes everything that you could possibly
need, a cooker, microwave oven, Fridge, Washing machine, double sink,
plenty of cupboards. Everything you would expect in a kitchen was there,
cups, drinking glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, cooking utensils -
nothing had been overlooked.
During our 7 day stay my eldest son and
his three teenage children twice took full advantage of the barbecue but
my wife and I went out sampling the delights of the many available
restaurants. The food and service at those establishments we found to be
excellent, reasonably priced, friendly staff and very pleasant.
In
addition to the amenities already mentioned you will find satellite
television, a DVD player, and a music centre. The two bedrooms were
spacious and comfortable.
Plenty of standard UK 3 pin plug points.
The master bedroom also has a balcony with a table and chairs
overlooking the swimming pool. The shops were just a short distance away
including a supermarket, chemist, bank, bakery, newsagents.
Without a doubt we gave this Villa a full 10 out of 10.

Vigin Mobile and Dongle
I have just tried out my Virgin Mobile Sim Card in the T-Mobile Dongle and it works.
It is a LOT cheaper as well - a mere 30 pence per day. The Virgin Media SIM card also works in my Sagem 401X Mobile Phone, so I guess it will be getting a bit more usage than it did before.

Problems with Internet from Cyprus
As you can see by this entry I managed to connect to my own computer in our Kitchen at home. I did this by connecting with my Mobile Phone hooked up to the netbook and used as a modem. Problem is we don't seem to be able to connect to any other sites - Gails attempts to check her Bingo Site complained that she has not yet proven that she is over 18.
The dongle is one step better than last trip overseas. At least this time I was able to register the dongle to a local network but that's where it stops. I could not connect the dongle to the internet. Internet from overseas is still not cheap when you use your own equipment. 3 Megabytes costs £5. unlike in the UK where you purchase your connection by the day or month.
