Déjà vu, from French, literally "already seen", is the phenomenon of having the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has already been experienced in the past. Déjà vu is a feeling of familiarity, and déjà vécu (the feeling of having "already lived through" something) is a feeling of recollection. | |

During
May 2016
Carol, John, Gail and Steve spent a week on the Isle Of Wight stopping at
the
Langham Court Hotel
Shanklin. Gail and Steve had room 202, Carol and John had room 203. Both
couples had booked the holiday with
Travelstyle.
Both couples plus Pete and Karen decided to book a mystery tour
with
Harry Shaw Holidays
to see in the new year 2017. Not only did we all end up in the
Langham Court Hotel
but Gail and Steve were allocated room 202, Carol and John room 203!
We found this to be a great Hotel who went that extra mile and did lots of extras to make this a fantastic stay. The Manageress hosted a couple of quizzes. Pass the parcel, Provided a buffet To let in the New year. On new years day during the afternoon everyone was treated to a bowl of soup and several sandwiches, later tea/coffee and cakes. Everyone at the hotel was given a new years day card, every guest even had a surprise gift at the dinner table. Everyone had a great time. Live Entertainment was provided every night. |
02 | Amongst our Christmas presents this year (2016) Christopher bought us a "Raspberry Pi 3" pre-loaded with about 20,000 games. This little box connects to our 49" Television set, you then add a couple of game controllers wired or wireless and any of the popular controllers such as nintendo, snes, sega and so on. Then you play all of those favourite computer games from the past such as Space invaders, frogger, bomberman, donkey kong, super mario brothers, lemmings - you name it and it is more likely to be there than not! All of the games are identical in every way to the originals. |
Meals a plenty! Every Thursday during December our group of 6 booked festive meals at various local pubs before going to the Thursday night quiz. Christmas dinner and also our Boxing day meal this year took place at "Farmer Johns." |
