Our journey from the Community Centre began at 0700 hrs on Monday 15 February
2010, we arrived at about 1800 hrs. There were several road works on the M6 due
to a scheme to use the hard shoulder as a fourth lane, also they are still
building the M73 near Stirling. In addition the drivers hours rules meant that
our coach driver Barry had to make 2 x 45 minutes breaks and a 20 minute break.
After arriving at our hotel we discovered that Wicksons (The tour operator)
had made a BIG mistake with our booking, instead of the advertised itinerary of
All Inclusive - Bed, breakfast, lunch, evening meal and a free bar 1900-2200
hrs, Wicksons had only booked our group in for bed and breakfast - oops. Neil
spoke to Wicksons by telephone and they agreed that due to the mistake being on
their part that they would stand the cost and so we continued to enjoy our All
Inclusive holiday at no extra cost.
The only real bad point about the Hotel was the fact our lift was out of
order, a sign was displayed stating they hoped to get it fixed on Tuesday. Thing
was there was no date to show which Tuesday and it will still out of order on
our departure on Friday. Our room was on the third floor and it was quite a
climb. To see our photo album please click on the picture of Nessie above.
