Koblenz

Day 1: UK/Cologne

Local departure and an afternoon crossing to Calais. Continue through Belgium into Germany to Cologne, where the mv Princess Christina is berthed overnight.

Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Andernach

Sail up the Rhine to Andernach. In the afternoon, join an optional excursion to the beautiful Ahr Valley and a visit to the pretty walled town of Ahrweiler.

Meals: Breakfast / lunch / dinner
Day 3: Cochem

Leaving Andernach, we cruise along into the peaceful Moselle to the attractive town of Cochem. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the impressive Reichsburg Castle, one of the most famous castles on the Moselle. Its medieval ramparts and spires form a dramatic backdrop to the town and once at the top you will be amazed by the wonderful views. In the evening, enjoy an optional wine tasting of the delicious local wines.

Day 4: Boppard

Cruise downstream back to Koblenz and continue up the Rhine to the popular riverside resort of Boppard with its pretty promenade. Free time to explore the town, known as the ‘Pearl of the Rhine’.

Day 5: Rüdesheim

Today our cruise passes through the dramatic scenery of the Rhine Gorge and the Lorelei Rock, before arriving at the popular wine town of Rüdesheim in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to explore the town and soak up the atmosphere of the famous narrow street, the Drosselgasse, with its traditional wine taverns.

Day 6: Koblenz

Another scenic day as we turn and sail downstream from Rüdesheim to Koblenz situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Free time to explore the Altstadt before dinner.

Day 7: Cologne


Your cruise continues to Königswinter, where there is an optional visit to the famous ruins of the Drachenfels Castle. The castle is reached by cog railway, and enjoys panoramic views over the Rhine and beyond. After lunch we sail back to Cologne where you can explore the city independently. In the evening enjoy the Captain’s farewell dinner.
